I became the Mayor of Farmington in January, 2009. Prior to being Mayor, I spent 13 years serving the citizens of Farmington on the Planning Commission. I believe that working collaboratively with citizens, businesses and regional partners is the best way to get things accomplished.
Currently I am a board member of the DCC 911(Dakota Communications Center), CEEF (Castle Rock, Eureka, Empire and Farmington) community enhancement group, a member of the Grow Farmington committee, the current chairman of the Economic Development Authority, and a member of the Minnesota Mayors Association.
Bringing people together to find solutions and make ideas take shape is something I am passionate about.
I have been and will continue to be a champion of local businesses by encouraging shopping local. Supporting the businesses Farmington has is the best way to attract new ones!
Farmington has been my home for 37 years. In October, I will celebrate 20 years of wedded bliss with my wife, Lena. We have two beautiful daughters; Miranda is a senior at Farmington High School and Brooke is in 8th grade at Boeckman Middle School. Farmington is my home town!
